Our Promise

Mission and Values

The challenges of the twenty-first century are tremendous but surmountable. It is our belief that the global problems that we face will be solved locally, should be addressed in a just and generous manner, and through a collaboration between civil and corporate investment and enterprise.

Oaxaca Oasis is a water company built to supplement the water needs of the people of Oaxaca, Mexico. As the state and local governments implement needed improvements to the water facilities of the state, Oaxaca Oasis will be here to help meet the demands of the people as our infrastructure is fixed and modernized. We recognize that this is a generational endeavor and plan on being here for generations to come. Our goal is simply to provide supplement water services and products at an affordable price. We are a Mexican company employing Mexicans to provide water to Mexicans.

Dignity is at the core of our values: be just, be kind, and be generous. We believe that providing affordable, quality products to our neighbors improves their lives and their living. It is hard to have pride in ourselves if we do not believe that our hard work benefits us, our loved ones, and our future. This is why our prices will reflect what you would normally pay for water under the best of circumstances and will always be below the international beverage companies once we start bottling water. It is also why we will only deliver clean, healthy water to you. We hope buying our products feels like an investment in our community because investing in our community is at the core of our business plan.

Our Promise to You

We will price our water reasonably and affordably.

While Oaxaca Oasis is a for profit company, that does not mean that our prices will be inflated. The traditional supply and demand equation and model does not apply to what we are doing. As demand goes up, our prices will go down. Millions and millions of liters of water vapor flows over Mexico every day. This is the resource that we are tapping into and adding to the available water supply for Oaxaca. The only limit on our supply is the size of the water plant that we have built in our community. When you need water, we will have it for you. We only need to pay our costs and our employees. Beyond that, we are here to support our community.

Keeping our prices for homes and small businesses low is a priority for us. However, we will charge a slightly higher rate for business and resorts that are part of the tourism industry, but that rate will be fixed, which will allow for effective budgeting for those business owners.

We will provide clean, healthy drinking water.

Our water comes from an atmospheric water generator. This water plant pulls the water vapor out of the air and distills it for our use. The process of capturing the water eliminates any contaminates that might be in the atmosphere and ensures that the water is drinkable straight from the generator.

Our water delivery trucks will adhere to the cleanliness standards and practices expected by the government and will follow the best practices of the industry. Our nozzles will be cleaned between deliveries, when they come in contact with potentially contaminated surfaces, and overnight or when not in use. The water we deliver to your home or business will be clean and healthy.

We will collaborate with local and state water authorities and with local providers.

Our first priority is to do no harm. Our goal is to assist in the efforts of the local and state governments to supply water to the community. We are not here to compete with them. The money that we pay for water from the city is used to pay employees and to pay for repairs to the infrastructure, so our pricing will never undercut those needs of the city. We can, however, alleviate the strain on the ground water supply to make it possible for the city to meet the expectations of the community.

We will be in competition with local businesses that deliver water to homes and businesses affected by water shortages and drought or that are not connected to the watermain. They provide a valuable service to the community, but their water supply comes from the same or similar sources that the city uses to provide water to the community. Their ability to provide water to you is also limited by drought and supply issues. Hopefully, they will see our water plant as a good alternative when their local supply is limited, and they can expect reasonable pricing from us, which will allow them to pay their bills and support their families.
